Looking Ahead: Our Next Chapter Begins in 2027
Investing in the Organizations That Make a Difference
Southern Arizona is home to dedicated nonprofit organizations, professionals, and community programs doing incredible work to support individuals with autism.
We believe that by investing in these organizations, TAFA can help extend the reach of important programs, strengthen existing resources, and create new opportunities for individuals and families.
Beginning in 2027, TAFA plans to focus its efforts on:
Supporting Local Nonprofits
Providing grants to qualifying nonprofit organizations whose programs and services benefit individuals with autism and their families.
Strengthening Community Programs
Helping organizations expand their capacity, improve accessibility, and enhance the programs they offer.
Encouraging Collaboration
Building relationships with community partners who share our commitment to supporting individuals with autism throughout Southern Arizona.
Creating Lasting Impact
Investing TAFA’s resources where they can make a meaningful and sustainable difference in our community.
Additional information about grant opportunities, eligibility, and application procedures will be shared as our new organizational structure takes shape.
Help Us Shape the Future of TAFA
We Want to Hear From You!
As we begin this exciting transition, we recognize that the people who know our community best are often the families, professionals, and organizations who experience its needs firsthand.
Do you know a nonprofit organization or community program making a difference for individuals with autism in Southern Arizona?
We would love to hear about them!
As we develop our grantmaking priorities, we welcome recommendations and introductions to organizations whose work aligns with TAFA’s mission.
Your insight can help us identify opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the years ahead.
With Gratitude for the Past and Excitement for the Future
For more than 20 years, TAFA has been fortunate to be part of the journeys of so many individuals and families.
We’ve celebrated milestones, witnessed personal growth, built lasting relationships, and experienced firsthand the strength and resilience of the autism community.
To the families who have trusted us, the professionals who have dedicated their time and expertise, the donors who have supported our mission, and the community partners who have stood beside us: Thank you.
You have helped make TAFA what it is today.
While closing this chapter of direct services is bittersweet, we are excited about the possibilities ahead.
We believe this transition offers an opportunity to build upon the foundation we’ve established and continue supporting the autism community in meaningful new ways.
Our story isn’t ending. We’re simply beginning a new chapter.
And we look forward to writing it together.
